Drawn by Austin’s abundant opportunities and access to top talent, Kyla relocated to the city from a small Texas coast town over a decade ago to pursue her hairdressing career. Beginning as an apprentice in early 2012, she honed her skills at prestigious academies like Vidal Sassoon in Los Angeles and Bumble & Bumble in New York City. Specializing in curly cutting with Devacurl and gaining barbering expertise from Unite Academy in San Diego, Kyla's eagerness to learn led to diverse styling abilities.
